Genetics that make a difference.

“Through selection on ICC™ I can create cows that are more efficient. That means I can build a cow that uses less resources to produce milk and will have less impact on the environment.”

Genetically select for feed efficiency.

We know feed is the single highest expense on the farm. We also know genetics can improve feed efficiency. By utilizing elite sires with high Feed Saved (FSAV) values, we can create a generation that does more with less – efficiently converting inputs to usable outputs.

Industry-leading fertility.

Your cooperative employs elite quality standards and proprietary fertility evaluations to ensure your breeding program maximizes efficiency. PregCheck™  and PregCheck+™ fertility rankings are available for our conventional and GenChoice sexed semen and are based on actual breeding and pregnancy data. These rankings are valuable tools that show which sires offer a fertility advantage.

How do PregCheck™ fertility rankings work? The scale is set to a base of 100, meaning 100 is average. Every one-point difference above or below 100 represents a 1% difference in conception rate.

Real-world success.

Seeing is believing, whether it’s tank averages, components shipped or healthy—never in the sick pen—productive cow.

At GENEX, we know you work hard to do more with less. That is exactly why our Herd Genetic Line is designed to put more emphasis on the things that matter: sustainability and efficiency. By choosing sires based on critical factors including feed efficiency, production and longevity, we can together move the needle on sustainability.

Learn how these herds are pushing to do more with less in their genetic selection.

A pivotal junction ...

“I can remember the exact day Dany and GENEX stopped at the from. We were at a crossroads,” shares Jason Erskine.

After having a conversation with Dany, Jason realized he needed to change his approach to genetic selection.

Her story: Thriving in a modern dairy

Holstein Cow

No one can tell the ICC™ story better than a cow. 3967 is a black and white beauty gracing an Iowa dairy farm. She is a prime example of a cow that “just does her thing” and does it well day in and day out, lactation after lactation. She is a model cow.
