BIOGRAPHY - Dr. Kim Egan, Director of Strategic Accounts, GENEX

Dr. Kim Egan, DVM, is a 1999 graduate of the University of Wisconsin school of Veterinary Medicine and has earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

She began her career in a small mixed animal veterinary practice, owned and operated a 400-cow Holstein dairy with her husband and family, and was an independent consultant prior to joining the GENEX team in 2013.

Having farm ownership experience, Dr. Egan is acutely aware of the narrow margins that are common in the dairy industry and the impact of efficient cattle.  Her focus is on dairy cattle reproduction and genetics with attention to the economic impact involved in decision making.

Dr. Egan visits with many of the largest herds across the central USA and leads a team of consultants that work with our progressive dairy farms.

She is a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP), the AABP Genetic/Genomic committee, and is the mother of six children (with four still at home).
